5 Ways to Stop Saying Sorry and What You Can Say Instead
Over apologizing. Saying I’m sorry. Starting a sentence with “This might sound stupid, but…” I’ve started those sentences so many times that I started to feel like I was apologizing for my existence. But how do you stop apologizing? How do you stop saying “I’m sorry?” for every little thing.
First things first, starting a sentence with “Sorry, but…” is really saying sorry for taking up space, for being here or even speaking. It undermines everything you’re about to say. You diminish yourself, your confidence and your power. Well, no more. The days of incessantly apologizing in instances where an apology isn’t necessary are OVER.
Say it with me: “No more apologizing, no more “sorry”s. I’m allowed to take up space. I deserve to have a voice that’s heard. I am strong, confident and loud.”
I’ve designed a few @lraedesign graphics to help pivot your thinking and rephrase what you’re trying to say WITHOUT any unnecessary apologies. Mobile wallpaper versions are available below as well as on my IG Story or Pinterest.
